Hello everyone!
Today we are sharing with you another customized card! This is a birthday card for a little boy who was having a Cars 3 – Jackson Storm themed party! So we thought that it was only appropriate to make a card with the hero of the movie! As you can probably imagine we had no Cars 3 related supplies in our stash. But since we have a laptop and a printer that’s not a problem for us!
First we looked on line for a B&W image of the hero. There are plenty free images out there ready to use! So we found one that we liked and then we resized it, using Photoshop, to fit perfectly on our card base. We used our laser printer to print it out and our Inktense Pencils to color it in. Then we fussy cut it with a pair of scissors.
Now for the background we wanted something that would remind a race flag. That’s exactly what we googled and we found this clean and simple pattern that we also printed out. We cut it to be slightly smaller that the card base which was blue because you know…boys love blue! We popped the focal point on some foam adhesive and then just to give it a little extra glow we covered the car with glossy accents! This made it shiny and beautiful!
For the sentiment we just used a birthday related stamp our stash and we die-cut it on our Sizzix machine using a label die. And that’s it! What do you think?! I’m sure the birthday boy really enjoyed his card!
Thank you all for stopping by! Will see you soon on our next post! until then…happy crafting!
