A step by step tutorial an a giraffe themed card!
This is another baby card! Animal themed baby cards are always a good idea! They are fun and cute and most of the times easy to make! Tip: when deciding which animal to use on your card, try to ask the parents about the nursery. The color combination or the theme of the room can help you decide which way to go. Many nurseries are already decorated on an animal themes!
The focal point
We have on hand this new set of die cuts that are perfect for today’s baby card! For the giraffe we will go for a pastel yellow. We will keep the pastel palette for the ballons as well and we will use a light orange and baby blue. A pair of googly eyes on the little giraffe will make it adorable!
The background
For the card base we will go with white cardstock, clean and pure just like the newborn! For the backrground we will cut a panel out of a pattern paper. The pattern is soft and geometrical in baby blue tones. This way it will not take the focus out of the focal point.
The sentiment
For the sentiment we stamp a “congratulations” banner with light blue ink, on white cardstock. Then we fussy cut it with our scissors. We also die cut from white cardstock a curved using our stiched snow bans. This way we will create a scene and the giraffe won’t be floating! We poped all the die cut elements and the sentiment on foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension. And the card is ready! So congratulations to all those new parents out there!
